Let's Help Each Other and Work Together-- Entry #5

The New York State English Regents is here and we should rally together to help one another prepare for this most important exam. I would like to thank Satcha for giving me this idea and thought it be best executed on the classroom blog.
As you all know, Part IV of the English Regents requires that you use two pieces literature to support your position on a specific critical lens statement. It would be wonderful to create a listing of books (in class and independent) that you have read so that others can consider them for usage on the Part IV of the exam.

This year we have read two books:
Bodega Dreams by Ernesto Quinonez
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

We have done an extensive study of the characters and themes of these two pieces but I would like to see others contribute to this book list.

Your task-
Each student should contribute one piece of literature to this blog. Please consider books you have read in class in the 9th grade and 10th grade. When constructing your response, your post should contain:
  • Title and Author
  • Main Characters
  • Major Themes addressed
This will help everyone tremendously if everyone thoroughly contributes. Please put forth the effort. Furthermore, if you notice any inaccurate information, feel free to comment on your peer's page and point out the inaccuracies.

If you find any websites that can help us, please create a hyperlink.

Make the effort.
