This book "Stuck in Neutral" by Terry Trueman is a interesting book that takes you to another persons persepective. The main character Shawn is glued to a chair and seen lifeless to others. His father knows that he is suffering and sometimes thinks of taking the pain away. The book is in the point of veiw of shawn and what goes through his head. All others believe he is a vegitable with no sence of life ,which brings his life to danger. The seizers he gets throughtout the book make the father question whats right to do any why his son. Throughout the book Shawn tries to communicate his feeling to his father which is phsically inpossible for him to do so.This book both interest adults and those young. It is eye ctaching and heart breaking how no communication can happen. In the book the father's and son's relationship is heart breaking and makes you want to connect. I truley recommend this book to all who want to feel how it is to be confined to a chair for life and not being able to do anything, not even control your eyes. This is a little about the book, so read it a find out for your self cuase i dont want to spoil the good parts.

Speak => Ana

In the book Speak by: Laurie Halse Anderson, Melinda Sordino the main character was a young girl who when on a summer night to a party with her best friend. She had a crush on a guy who told her how pretty she was and took her to the forest then they began to dance. The guy was touching her and she told him to stop but he kept on. Eventually he ended up raping her. That night she called the cops so the cops crashed the party. After that day she was completetly silent, she didnt speak to nobody at all not even her parents, she was traumatize. When she went back to school she was like an outcast nobody talked to her not even her best friends because she was the one who called the cops that night in the party. All her feeling she let them out by art with her project she had fto do or art. She tried to tell her ex best friend who was dating the guy who raped her what she did but she didnt believe her, she just though Melinda was yellews of her. She had in school a hiding place in school which was a closet to hide from everyone else. When she started getting better she decided to stay outof the closet and the day she decided to get all her stuff from the closet Andy(the guy that raped her) showed up. He tried to hit her, she was screaming and students from school heard her scream and heard when she said that he raped her. People started believing in her and seeing that she wasn't that bad, also the reason why she always was quiet and acted the way she did. After everything her mother picked her up from school and that was when she confessed to her mother about why was she acting the way she was lately.
The Other Side of The Dark by Joan Lowery Nixon is a book I read last year. The main character of the book was Stacy McAdam. Stacy went into an coma for 4 years after getting shot by a robbery, leaving her in an coma and her mother killed though she ain't realize her mother was died till after she wakes up from the coma. After slowly waking up from a 4 years coma she wants to find the murder and make him pay for what he done and what her family had to go through. Since she was in a coma the memories of the crime scene has slowly been coming back to her only she can find out who was the murder because she was the only witness. Through out the book Stacy tries the best of her ability to remember the crime scene and the murder, Stacy gets flash back of the crime scenes little by little and the murder soon appeared in her dream as a friend she knew long ago. Stacy starts to remember more and more after each flash backs, soon she remembered the murder eyes and knew that she had seen them some where in her life. Soon after that flash back, during an invite to her friend Jarrod's party she saw the eyes of the murder who was Jarrod himself that had left her in an coma for 4 years and a life without a mother. Even after she find out who the murder is the cases isn't close yet, she was being watch by someone else who protect her even thought she was near the murder.

Another book I read last year would be Speak by Laurie Halse Anderson. About a young girl named Melinda Sordino who was raped in the summer party thought she call the cops and everyone blame her for that with out knowing the truth. She now find herself being test weather or not to do the right thing, because the person who raped her is dating one of her best friend before the incident. Melinda is all only to deal with this problem and is force to suffer because no one else has seen what that guy is cable of, but she find her true self in the end with the help of her art teacher who aspired her to continue art. Her emotion is set free throughout art and shown, she is like a seed being to grow and find her new self. Her parents don't even know what happening even thought she wants to tell someone. This what test her to grow weather or not to tell someone and help her best friend before something like this ever happen again.

Anne of Green Gables

I've seen that title before, but from where, I don't know. It, however, was much more appealing than the other books on Ms. singletons mini-library shelf. I picked it up, read it as my independent reading book, and surprisingly, as grim as I might be, I loved it. I doubt any of you would bother with it though, as Lackadaisical as you all are. I hate all of you and your guts. So I'll briefly go over it.

Title: Anne of Green Gables

Author: L. M. Montgomery

Main Character: Anne Shirley and her adopted parents Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert(they are siblings but they wanted to raise a child together. Nothing sexual at all going on here.)

Themes:
1) Growing up. You don't notice, but you change a lot over a few years.
2) Reality is merciless. As is death.
3) Never trust door-to-door salesmen. They gyp pretty damn hard.
4) Imagination is quite helpful when you're alone.
5) Never be afraid to be yourself. Even if someone else doesn't agree.
