"If you love somebody, let them go, if they return, they were always yours. if they don't, they never were." In other words, the person that you love, if let go will come back if they really have feelings for you. This is well illustrated in the book Bodega Dreams where the character Vera leaves the love of her life for a rich cuban and moves to Florida. Yet the love of her life, Bodega, is still madly in love with her and is doing everything in his power to get her back to New York to win her love back. This is how I see that the quote relates to the book.
- Does Chino get caught by his wife?
- Does Blanca leave Chino if she finds out?
- Does Vera & Bodega re-flame the sparks that were left behind?
