Response to Questions #3

In the novel Bodega Dreams, the theme of conscience plays a major role. Some characters in this novel contain a conscience while others don't. Characters such as Chino and Blanca have a conscience and can be seen by their actions and thoughts. Chino thinks about what he is doing for Bodega and how that will affect his relationship with his wife Blanca and Blanca's conscience is shown when she doesn't take the ring Chino got from Vera. But there are others who don't have a conscience like Sapo. Sapo kills and does drugs and just watches out for himself so he doesn't care about the out come of things so there for he doesn't have a conscience.

  1. Jorge, I appreciate your efforts here. Just a reminder, when you make a claim such as those you made in your response, please provide as much textual evidence (paraphrased) so to substantiate your claims. I would love for you to make this a habit of your writing.
