Chino possesses a conscience in Bodega Dreams. He is struggling to choose whether he will work with Bodega or go back to Blanca and live a normal life. He wants to have a better future and leave his neighborhood. He also wants to live with Blanca and his child. Chino decided to work with Bodega. After his building was put in flames he wanted to help Bodega in anyway he could because if his wife was still there she could have been hurt. By helping Bodega he may be able to help him improve the neighborhood and stop the people who burned his building from doing any thing else. Chino is also finding it difficult to not tell his wife Blanca were he is going and what he is doing.
